1. What
has been your biggest challenge in this class so far? What has been your
biggest success?
-My biggest challenge so far would be the writting assignments, which is also my weakness. I am just not very good at writting or big assignments for that matter. I stress out and procastinate which isnt good. I get stressed out and just walk away from it. I would say my bigges success is keeping up with the blogs and comments, i had no idea how to blog before this class. It isnt so bad either.
2. How have the
readings in the class affected you?
~The reading have definetly been difficult for me to follow, they are outta my normal reading limits by far. I find myself rereading over and over, yet still kinda confused. I am not a fan of older readings, so i think that is my struggle with it. I read books, but i guess 'easier" more today books.
3. How is
literary analysis different from other types of writing you have done in
college?
~ The only writting i have done thus far is fairly simple, pick a topic and write a essay. Therefore having limits as to what to read, and how to write it is a bit more narrow and difficult for someone who isnt a fan of writing.
4. What are
your goals for the second half of the session? What do you hope to improve or
accomplish?
- My goals are to stay more on top of the class, work ahead because it is SO easy for me to put it off and fall behind. I find myself the night before its all do up late with coffee trying to do it. (i know thats not what any professor wants to hear) I have the time during the week to work on it so I would like to do so. Make it less stressful, and more than likely a better grade. I would like to accomplish a better grade then I am getting now, therefore i need to improve my work!

Everything you said I agree with. I never blogged before this class either plus I also procrastinate. I don't care for writing essay either, but I still am learning. Hang in there, we are half way through.
ReplyDeleteDeanna,
ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you on the readings being difficult and out of the norm of my what I normally read. I think what I read is normally pretty straight forward, but I'm not trying to learn anything when I read. So I have had to put the two types of material in different categories. For me it is like food, dessert vs. vegetables. Good luck with the next half of the class, I think your goal to stay on top of your school work is a good idea. I normally get most of mine done mid week and have to say that I feel a little more pressure this week since today is Sunday and I'm still working on my assignments.
